Vegas Wedding Bells Ring at Johnny Rockets

João and Clarissa’s wedding night was one to remember! Both from Sao Paulo, Brazil – he’s a software analyst and she’s a wedding decorator – they gathered their friends and family and flew to Vegas to tie the knot. They had met four years ago in Las Vegas, at the Caesar’s Palace club, Pure. At the time, João lived in Seattle and was visiting for a friend’s bachelor party, while Clarissa was there with a friend.

After the ceremony at Graceland Chapel, the wedding party (about 50 people in total) hopped in two limos and arrived at our Paradise Road restaurant for their wedding dinner. Clarissa explains, “We had two F650 limos (they’re big) and as everyone got out, it took some time for them to figure out what was happening. Then, as they went inside, Elvis was already there singing, the tables were decorated with our menus and placemats, and then they understood it was all part of the plan.”

João and Clarissa had our restaurant to themselves and brought in themed menus, placemats, hamburger holders and other fun extras (after all – Clarissa is a wedding decorator!) for the event. To play the part, our hostess dressed in 50s attire and an Elvis impersonator played covers all night along. After a fun meal of Hamburgers and Shakes, they held their reception at the MGM SkyLOFT.

Clarissa and João wanted to thank our store manager, Aaron Powers, who was “super friendly and helpful, and we couldn’t have done it without him!”

From everyone at Johnny Rockets, we’d like to say CONGRATULATIONS to the newlyweds, THANK YOU for choosing to spend your special day with us, and BEST of LUCK in the future!
